Manuela Pinheiro

Manuela Pinheiro has a degree in painting from High School of Fine Arts of Lisbon. In 1966 begins her integration into the artistic technique of Engraving. Fellowship of the Spanish Government, studied and worked in the main centers of Engraving and Painting in Spain, including Madrid and Barcelona. She was also fellowship of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Institute of High Culture for research and expertise in the technique of Engraving in Madrid and Barcelona, under the guidance of Juana Mordó, and in Paris under the direction of Stanley William Hayter, Krisma Reddy and Baik Hwang. Exhibits since 1959, participating in several solo and group exhibitions both at Portugal and abroad. She held about 35 solo exhibitions and included more than 110 exhibitions and international biennials at Portugal and abroad. Throughout her career as an artist, won several prizes for Painting, Drawing and Engraving. She also has held teaching activities since 1964 She`s represented in the collection of the Ministry of Culture, at the National Library in Paris - Cabinet des Etampes and several museums, galleries and private collections, national and international (Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Spain, United States of America, France, Greece, England, Italy, Mexico, Russia and Switzerland).
