Tereza Trigalhos was born in Paços de Ferreira in 1952. Degree in Painting from Fine Arts High School of Oporto, she participated in several study trips to Spain, Switzerland, England and the United States, where she deepened her formal and thematic repertoire. Everything in the Painting of Tereza Trigalhos take us back to the dichotomies and the excesses of radicalism: shape and color, the dynamics of gesture and anthropocentric composition, mediumship between the real and transcendent ... The stories that she summarizes, result from many pictorial ramblings, have in characters who rise up in her paintings the ideal support for feelings necessarily fluid and inclusive. A broad brush stroke and the movement that she prints on the screen, are the striking features of her work. She participated in several exhibitions, nationally and internationally, and has more than forty solo exhibitions in Portugal, USA, Brazil and Spain. She is represented in various institutional and private collections, galleries and museums (Spain, France, Italy, USA and Brazil).
